Police seize cannabis and growing equipment following a tip-off from the public
OFFICERS have seized cannabis plants and growing equipment from a property near Romsey, following a tip-off from a member of the public.
Police initially arrested a 44-year-old man on suspicion of growing cannabis in Chilworth Road, Chilworth, yesterday (January 19).
The property was searched around 4.30pm.
The man, from Chilworth, was later de-arrested and will be voluntarily interviewed at a later date, according to Hampshire police.
A Facebook post from Test Valley Cops reads: "This was instigated from information a member of the public had given [the] police, which further showcases the importance of reporting crime to the police."
