Part of M3 motorway to be shut this weekend as works take place
MOTORISTS are being warned about a motorway closure this weekend.
The northbound carriageway of the M3 at Junction 6 for the Black Dam Interchange will be closed for 'essential maintenance'.
The closure will take place from 9pm on Friday until 6am on Monday.
Highways England says work is required to improve to the drainage on the northbound carriageway around the junction.
As a result, traffic will be diverted off the M3 slip road at Junction 6 and will re-join the motorway using the entry slip road.
Road bosses confirm that the diversion will be fully signposted.
