NOT everyone is abiding by the lockdown rules.
This man thought the lack of people gives him the opportunity to have an 18-hole golf course to himself on the afternoon of Saturday, January 9.
He was spotted by a passerby at South Winchester Golf Club at Pitt.
The photographer, who asked not to be named, told the Chronicle: “This character who did not give his name was photographed playing golf on Saturday afternoon 9th January by a member of South Winchester, when the rest of England was in lockdown.
“When informed that the South Winchester golf course was closed, said ‘I want to get some practice and do not want a confrontation’.
“Fortunately for him there was no one in the clubhouse, all adhering to the stay at home working rules, so could not be reported. He had the gall to carry on playing. This is very disappointing.”
The Chronicle contacted the golf club and awaits its reaction to the unauthorised use.
