DEVELOPER Highwood has donated £10,000 to its newly adopted charity, Trinity Winchester, to support the vulnerable and homeless.

The donation represents a valuable contribution to the charity’s ‘Under One Roof’ project to build 11 flats. The new self-contained homes will be housed in an eco-friendly development behind Trinity’s existing day centre. Within this peaceful environment, trained project workers and in-house healthcare specialists will deliver a range of activities, therapies, education and treatment.

Sharnna Carter, Trinity’s fundraising and events manager, said: “Thank you so much for your incredibly generous donation to Trinity Winchester. We are completely blown away by your generosity and cannot thank you enough.”

Jess Watts-Forte, human resources manager at Highwood, visited the centre in 2020 and knew this would be a cause that Highwood would be keen to support.

“I was overwhelmed by the vital work that Trinity provides to vulnerable people. The organisation is dedicated to providing safe places where those affected by homelessness and social deprivation can be empowered with the confidence and skills they need to maximise their life chances. We’re very proud that our donation is going to an incredible cause – this is the start of what we hope will be a long and rewarding relationship with Trinity.”
