THERE are many ways of showing one’s support to the local NHS hospital.
The Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester received 2,900 mince pies on December 21.
Beauman Chong, a hospital volunteer and a governor at the Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, said he has been asked all the time about how the public could help the NHS and what they can do for the dedicated workers at our hospital.
As it was Christmas, the suggestion was ‘a mince pie for everyone, please’.
Beauman and his friends set about clearing the shelves at the local supermarket and delivered 2,900 mince pies to the hospital, with grateful thanks to everyone working there.
