CONSULTATION events on the latest Silver Hill plans are coming to a close.

The city council's online exhibition for the scheme, now known as Central Winchester Regeneration, will end on January 12.

Proposals to develop the site, which incorporates the bus station, Kings Walk, the old Friarsgate Medical Centre and Coitbury House can be seen online.

Residents can fill in a questionnaire to share their thoughts.

Cllr Kelsie Learney, cabinet member for housing and asset management said: "It has been great to see so many people visiting our virtual exhibition room and taking part in this consultation so far. We are still keen to hear from as many people as possible and encourage anyone who has not yet had a look at the plans to visit the council website and get involved.

"As we look forward to a new year, after what has been a difficult time for many of us, we are very encouraged by the positive feedback we have received so far. We also look forward to sharing what we have learned at our Open Forum later in the month."

The number of people who have visited the virtual exhibition room has already reached over two thousand.

A public open forum will be held at 6pm on January 26 to discuss feedback.
