A WINCHESTER man has been fined for possession of heroin.
Nicholas Mark Cherrington, also known as Dave Hill, was caught with the class A drug in the city on September 17, magistrates in Basingstoke heard.
Cherrington, 44, of no fixed abode, admitted the offence and was fined £40 with a £34 victim surcharge which will be deducted from his benefits. There was no order for costs because of his lack of money.
He also admitted failing to abide by a community order by not keeping in touch with the probation service.
The magistrates said the order should continue with an added rehabilitation activity requirement for up to three days.
