IT was only 37mph but enough to lead to a six-month driving for Richard Bannister.
Bannister was clocked doing the speed in a 17-reg Volkswagen in a 30-zone on St Mary's Place in Southampton on March 11, magistrates heard.
Bannister, 40, of Lauriston Drive, Chandler's Ford, was found guilty under the single justice procedure.
The magistrates in Basingstoke imposed a six-month driving ban for repeat offending as well as a £400 fine, £40 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
