THE strange circumstances this Christmas have not stopped Winchester pupils from celebrating.
At Stanmore Primary, the children took part in a ‘reverse calender’, where instead of opening a door each day they donated items to support local foodbanks.
Those at St Bede put on a pre-recorded nativity play – The Magical Christmas Jigsaw Puzzle.
Children in class bubbles recorded their scenes which were edited into one video.
Head teacher Sarah Duck said : “We have had to cancel, change or adapt so many things this year due to Covid, but knew that it was worth fighting to find a way to put on a traditional Christmas nativity play.”
Children at both Pilgrims’ and Oliver’s Battery put on their individual plays, which were both recorded for parents to watch.
