THE company behind a Winchester care home has been labelled as inspiring by the London Stock Exchange Group.

Hartford Care Limited was named in the 2020 edition of the group's 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain.

This is the second year in succession that it has been included in the report which recognises the UK’s fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium sized businesses.

The company runs Tegfield House in Chilbolton Avenue.

Sean Gavin, Hartford Care Group’s limited’s chief executive officer said: "Our inclusion for the second year running in the London Stock Exchange Group’s 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain Report is an incredible achievement for us all, especially during this very challenging year.

“To accomplish this again is testament to the extraordinary efforts made by our 16 exceptional care home teams, supported by their Head Office and Regional colleagues, in continuing to deliver care, comfort and companionship for all our residents.

“We are so proud of our Hartford Care family, and the family values we embrace that differentiate us from other care home companies. The acquisition this year of two more care homes shows we are continuing to grow steadily and sustainably in this most difficult of years.”

To be featured in the report, businesses had to demonstrate strong revenue growth over the last three years and outperform their sector peers.

In the past year, Hartford Care has acquired two more care homes – Belford House in Four Marks, Hampshire, and Ashley Grange in Downton, Wiltshire.

David Schwimmer, CEO, London Stock Exchange Group, said: "This report highlights the vital role of SMEs in driving economic growth, leading innovation and providing jobs across the UK. In this challenging year for businesses, it is more important than ever to shine a light on these stories of resilience and entrepreneurship.

"The success of UK SMEs is crucial as we rebuild a post COVID-19 economy, and London Stock Exchange Group is committed to helping growth companies achieve their potential."
