POLICE seeking to protect social distancing rules broke up an illegal gathering at a Winchester city centre flat.
They were called to a flat in Eastgate Street last Thursday evening.
A police spokesman said: “We received a report at 11.37pm on Thursday December 3 that five people from different households were meeting in a flat in Eastgate Street.
“Officers attended and spoke to people outside the address. Advice on the Covid-19 restrictions were given, and those not living at the address dispersed.”
