A WINCHESTER golf club is asking the public to stay off the course now the lockdown has lifted.
Golf returned to the Royal Winchester from yesterday (Wednesday).
In a letter to nearby residents, Lynne Pothecary, assistant manager, said: “I hope you have enjoyed taking your daily exercise on the golf course. We would like to thank the vast majority of you for the care and consideration that you have taken on our property.
“Following the announcement from our Prime Minister on Monday, we will be returning to golf on Wednesday 2nd December. Our on-course preparations are now well underway. With the presence of active golfers and on-course machinery, in the interests of everyone’s safety, we must now ask that you stay off the golf course and keep to the bridleway.”
