JUST prior to lockdown, two Kings’ School pupils took part in Southampton University’s Senior Maths Challenge 2020, writes Andrew Napier.
Out of a total of 485 entries from across the region, Kings’ scooped both the first prize (Lucy Payne) and the second prize (Krishna Ramrakhani) - an extraordinary achievement.
Ordinarily, they would have received their prizes in a ceremony at the university, but unfortunately this year with the pandemic that could not happen, and so they received their awards at a scaled-back presentation in their Further Maths class with head of maths Clive Duckering.
