GREEN campaigners in Winchester want people to 'think globally, but start locally.

Winchester Action on Climate Change (WinACC) is holding a virtual open meeting on Saturday November 21 on Zoom.

Log in from 10.15am, the meeting starts at 10.30am and finishes at 12 noon. This meeting will present the WinACC programme and priorities for 2021.

At the last open meeting in February, WinACC members and supporters proposed ideas about how WinACC projects can help Winchester district reach net zero carbon.

Those ideas have been drawn up into an action plan and the meeting will gauge member views on the proposals. No contribution is too small, and you don't have to be able to attend meetings regularly.

Email events@winacc.org.uk for the zoom link.

Win ACC has also appointed Jo Crocker as its new coordinator. She was previously convenor of Winchester Green Week.

Stuart Mills joins as development manager. He has campaigned on many environmental and social issues, spending the last six years helping to set up and run a worker co-operative food shop in Southsea.

WinACC has thanked everyone who made donations at the AGM in October, raising £3,200 which has been match funded, giving us a total of £6,400. It still has £1,800 of match funding available to us if it receives further donations before the end of November.
