Five people have died from coronavirus in local hospitals since Monday, NHS figures reveal.
The individuals died at one of Hampshire Hospitals’ sites between Monday, November 16 and Tuesday, November 17.
Figures for Wednesday November 18 have not yet been released.
The Trust runs Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital as well as hospitals in Winchester and Andover.
The data is collected at trust level to protect the patient privacy.
Four people died on Monday, November 16 and one person died on Tuesday, November 17.
Figures on the Government website show the number of deaths recorded in relation to the virus both in and out of hospital, this includes care homes.
The data shows Basingstoke has recorded seven deaths within 28 days of positive test over the last seven days.
The Test Valley area has recorded six deaths over the last seven days within 28 days of positive test and Winchester recorded nine.
