A PLAN to build four new homes and demolish an existing bungalow has received 50 objections.

The application to Eastleigh Borough Council sets out how an existing bungalow would be demolished to allow room for the new properties on Keble Road, Chandler's Ford.

Landscaping work would then have to take place to allow room for the four buildings that are planned to have four bedrooms and would each include new garages.

Access to the homes would be provided in the form of an existing driveway that runs from Keble Road.

The application is due to be discussed by the Chandler's Ford and Hiltingbury Local Area Committee this evening.

It has been recommended for the committee to refuse the application on the grounds that there would be insufficient space for waste collection vehicles to turn.

It is also said that the properties would lead to an unacceptable increase in Nitrates leaving the site which would have an adverse impact on the Solent and Southampton Water Special Protection Area.

The council has also received 50 objections to the homes from local residents.
