A VILLAGER who attacked a woman has been sentenced to a community order.

Adam Colin Steven Paddock, 28, was in court to plead guilty to assaulting Uta Kotter by beating her on February 23 and resisting PC Newstead in the same incident.

Magistrates in Basingstoke imposed a community order for Paddock to attend 32 sessions of a building better relationships programme and up up to 20 days rehabilitation activity requirement.

Paddock, of Sycamore Drive, Kings Worthy, must also pay a £90 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

There was no order for compensation because of the "circumstances of the offence."
