THE Vyne School has sent home all students in year seven, eight and nine, to self-isolate for 14 days.
An "urgent" message, which was sent out to parents this morning, stated it was "necessary to send home all students" in year seven, eight and nine.
The students will be expected to self isolate for the next fortnight.
The school has asked parents to collect their children or give their permission via email for their children to walk home.
The Vyne reported their first positive case within its school community to Hampshire County Council on Friday, November 6.
A letter sent to parents on Friday stated: “We have been made aware of a member of the school who has tested positive for COVID-19.
"This is the first confirmed case of a school student or member of staff. We are managing this case safely and effectively but we know that some of you may find this concerning and we are working closely with Public Health England to monitor the situation.
“The individuals who have been in direct, prolonged contact with the confirmed case have now received individual contact and will be self-isolating at home."
