A RESIDENT of Ropley has been banned from the road for drink driving.
Terence Aves, 64, was caught at Oak Green Parade in Four Marks, near Alresford, on June 9 by police officers. When breath tested Aves, of Hale Close, Ropley, was found to have an alcohol reading of 69 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath when the legal limit is 35, making him double the limit.
He pleaded guilty and was banned from the road for 18 months, fined £120 with a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
The ban will be cut by 18 weeks if Aves passes an approved course by October 22 2021.
