SIR: As we slip ever further into an over-regulated state following rules from "scientists" with no humanity, may I add yet another example of a ridiculous regulation. A friend of mine was to have been married abroad in May, but that had to be cancelled because of the pandemic. She has now arranged the wedding in Hampshire, in November, but has been told that her father may not walk her down the aisle! This is a very emotional and important part of the ceremony and as, no doubt, father and daughter will have a hug sometime during the day, it does seem quite unnecessary to ban it. Let us have some common sense and flexibility applied.
