A WOMAN driver was caught yards from her home in Winchester over the drink drive limit.

Jacqueline Abraham-Browne, 38, of Battery Hill, Stanmore, was driving a 59-reg Ford when she was stopped by officers on Battery Hill on May 30.

Basingstoke Magistrates Court heard that Abraham-Browne had an alcohol reading of 44 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, just above the legal limit of 35.

She admitted the offence and was banned from the road for 12 months and fined £190 with a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs. The ban will be cut by three weeks if she passes an approved course by May 27 2021.
