SIR: Our young people deserve better. They have had no proper education since March, no saying goodbye to their friends when school broke up followed by a shambolic examination result system. They are faced with paying the huge debt that is being racked up along with funding future pensions for the older members of our society, for which they will get no thanks.

What else can we do to them? We could decide not to feed them, but which of our local Members of Parliament would vote for such a thing?
