THERE has been a surge in MOT bookings across the county, according to a Winchester garage.
Skoda in St Cross Road has purchased a new ramp so nine more tests can be completed per day.
Staff have been busier than usual following lockdown and the government extension to the MOT deadline/
Mark Mills-Goodlet, managing director at Winchester SKODA, said, “One of our core beliefs is that everyone should be driving a safe and reliable car - having an up-to-date MOT is vital to this.
"Our increased capacity means we can test 16 cars a day of any make or model. All cars booked in for October will also receive a free Vehicle Health Check to make sure they are ready for Winter driving conditions.
“We would always suggest checking your MOT due date and ensuring you have booked your test with plenty of time to spare. If you need a reminder of your test date then visit https://vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk."
