A DRIVER was not in court to hear he has been banned from the road for failing to help police.
William Eric Munday, 37, was convicted of failing to tell police the identity of a driver believed to have committed a motoring offence.
Munday, of Romsey Road, Ower, was not present at Basingstoke Magistrates Court and was convicted under the single justice procedure.
Magistrates disqualified him from driving for six months because it was a repeat offence, fined him £660 with a £66 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
