A BIKER was killed after crashing into a stationary car on a Southampton residential road.
The incident at just after midday yesterday saw eight police cars and three ambulance crews rush to Woodside Road in Portswood.
Police say the man, who was riding a black Suzuki motorcycle when it was in collision with a stationary black Toyota car, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
As reported, the road was shut for several hours as an investigation was carried out by forensic officers. It reopened at around 5pm yesterday.
Flowers have also been laid at the scene.
Now Hampshire Constabulary officers are appealing for witnesses.
A spokesperson said: "Were you in the area at the time? Perhaps you saw a black motorcycle in the run up to the collision or maybe you have dash-cam footage?
