A WINCHESTER woman who was well over the drink driving limit has been banned from the road for three years.
Janine Marie Harris, 53, of Fivefields Close, Highcliffe, was stopped by the police on Lansdowne Avenue when driving a 53-reg Kia Picanto on September 5.
Her alcohol reading was 152 micrograms when the legal is 35 meaning Harris was more the four times the legal limit.
Magistrates in Basingstoke imposed a community order with an alcohol treatment requirement to last nine months, a rehabilitation activity requirement for up to 15 days and 200 hours unpaid work.
They also imposed a £95 victim surcharge and £85 costs. The ban will be cut by 36 weeks if Harris passes an approved driving course by November 26 2022.
Allegations of failing to provide a breath test and driving with no insurance were withdrawn by the prosecution.
