The 23-year-old has linked up with Darren Moore’s side at Keepmoat Stadium, on a deal until January.
His first game for Doncaster could come against Portsmouth at Fratton Park tomorrow.
Sims, a graduate of Saints’ academy, is set to join his third loan club having also spent time at Reading and New York Red Bulls.
