Careless lorry driver crashed into back of a roadworks protection vehicle on A34
A CARELESS Winchester lorry driver has been fined for causing an accident on the A34.
Steven Bridgen, 60 crashed his 13-reg Iveco lorry and trailer into the back of a roadworks protection vehicle near Winchester on July 10 last year.
Bridgen, of Walpole Road, Stanmore, admitted the charge of driving without due care and attention when he appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court.
He was fined £120 with a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Five penalty points were added to his licence.
