A MAN in his 60s have been banned from driving after caught with cocaine in his system.
Kevin Charles Gadd was also found to have illegally put a false registration plate on his car, magistrates heard.
Gadd, 63, of Broad Street, Bromyard, Herefordshire, was stopped whilst driving a 04-reg Vauxhall Corsa on the A34 at Sutton Scotney on February 3.
When tested he had 13µg/L of cocaine in his body when the legal limit is 10µg/L. Gadd also had a metabolite of cocaine called benzoylecgonine in his system. The legal limit is 50µg/L but Gadd's measurement was more than 200.
Gadd pleaded guilty to the drug driving and also to fraudulently putting a false plate on his car.
Magistrates in Basingstoke banned him from the road for 18 months, fined him £500 with a £50 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
