MEON Valley MP Flick Drummond visited one of the county’s smallest schools.

The 71 pupils at West Meon Primary in Church Lane are now back in their lessons, complete with social distancing measures.

Flick toured the school and met pupils who had worked hard during lockdown to complete folders of work.

“It was a pleasure to visit such a happy school and meet pupils who were clearly glad to be back,” she said.

“The headteacher June Kelly and her staff have done great work using the small school building in the best way possible to keep social distance and I was impressed with the school’s ‘can do’ attitude.”

Staff had been delivering work to pupil's doors throughout lockdown.
