MORE than 370 walkers took part in Naomi House and Jacksplace’s flagship fundraising event.

The Clarendon Way Walk, which had been postponed from June due to the pandemic, went ahead successfully earlier this month.

It has been running for 14 years now and raises vital funds for the children’s hospices.

Keith Wilson, head of marketing, took part in the marathon hike.

He said: “We are delighted to have been able to finally host our 14th Clarendon Way Walk event this year, at this slightly later date in September.

“Local walkers brought along an abundance of energy, camaraderie and support for Naomi House and Jacksplace and we are so grateful to everyone that took part.

“Thank you also to all of the virtual walkers that took on the new ‘Your Clarendon Way Walk ‘ this weekend to support Naomi House and Jacksplace.”

“Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we had to cancel the new aspects of our Clarendon Way Walk this year, including a 26 mile night hike, and a 52 mile night and day trek from Salisbury to Winchester and back again. But, ambitious walkers need not fret, as we have launched a new date for 2021 to bring Ultimate Clarendon back - 11th - 12th September 2021. Entry is now open for this event, our biggest ever challenge, and we are offering 20% off registration fees for a limited time only. So, if you enjoyed the Clarendon Way Walk this year, or feel you missed out, sign up now for an adventure in 2021!”
