SIR: re ‘Peregrine Toll’ (Chronicle, Letters, August 20).
I very much doubt Falco Peregrinus is responsible for the lack of birds in Anna Dreaper’s garden. Living nearby, with over twenty varieties of birds regularly visiting our garden; from the curious ‘jenny’ wren hopping and darting though the borders to the extremely handsome ‘woody’ woodpecker decked out in his bright red cap and pied coat. It may be ‘Cattus Vulgaris’ who is the culprit here!
