SHE came to Winchester 60 years ago and will be recognised by thousands of people.
Peggy Loveless, who has seen the city change over the decades, has celebrated her 100th birthday.
The centenarian moved here with her husband Geoff in 1969.
They ran the Great Western Hotel, which is now the Bishop On The Bridge.
After five years Geoff worked on King Alfred buses and Peggy worked first at the Crown And Anchor then the Stanmore Hotel.
Mick Loveless, her son, said: "In 1971 Peggy and Geoff took over the running of the R.A.O.B club.
"When dad died mum carried on running the club till she retired."
Peggy as four children Mick, Barry, Rosemary and Judy.
She as nine grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
