TODAY will see a generation of scholars battle their nerves to anxiously open their A-Level results.
To mark the special occasion the Hampshire Chronicle has taken a look at pictures from Peter Symonds in previous years.
Hundreds of Hampshire students tentatively set foot back on the grounds of their college or schools to find out if they had gained the grade they wanted in their A-Level results.
After weeks of nail-biting, it was finally all over, the youngsters found out how they had performed in their exams.
Some of the students turned up with a mob of friends to help one another celebrate or commiserate. For others it was a solitary affair, opting to deal with their emotions in private.
