THE Winchester branch of the Royal British Legion will be marking VJ Day with a ceremony outside Winchester Cathedral.
It will be on Saturday August 15 at 11am at the memorial outside the west door of the church.
The Mayor, Cllr Patrick Cunningham will lay a wreath.
The event marks the end of the Second world War when Japan surrendered after atom bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
