THE Christmas ice rink won’t be coming to Winchester this year as reported by the Chronicle.
The market will still be taking place and organisers have lodged an application with the city council to expand the footprint to allow for social distancing.
With this in mind we've taken a look at pictures of people of all ages enjoying the ice.
The ice rink first appeared outside Winchester Cathedral in the run-up to Christmas 2006 and has been an attraction to spectators and skaters every year since.
But due to the Coronavirus crisis, the Christmas market will need to be spread over a far greater area in order to welcome similar visitor numbers to previous years.
