A LARGE quantity of Class B drugs and cash have been seized following a police raid in Kings Worthy.

On Friday (July 31) officers from the Winchester Rural and City policing teams executed a warrant at a property in Fraser Road.

A large quantity of Class B drugs and cash were found and seized. Other items suspected to have been acquired with money earned through criminality were also seized.

Two of the residents were identified as suspects and will be interviewed at a later date.

Following the warrant one of the suspects left the address on an electric scooter to get some cigarettes.

And a post on Winchester Police's Facebook page said: "Unfortunately electric scooters are classed as motor vehicles and this particular suspect is a disqualified driver. So when he returned the scooter was seized under S165 Road Traffic Act."

It added: "Drug related harm is a district  and force priority and we will continue to combat the harm that drug use and supply causes to individuals and communities. If you have any information regarding drug supply please call 101 or Crimestoppers."
