A 63-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to possessing a knife, common assault and damaging a vauxhall astra.
The defendant, Mr Paul Evans, 63, of Acre Court, Andover, appeared in Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Thursday, July 30.
The court heard how Evans was arrested for being in possession of a knife in a black of flats on an unnamed road in Andover on Tuesday, July 21, 2020.
Prosecuting, Mrs Richardson, said: "The following day Evans was found threatening a person with a knife.
"He waved the knife at a member of the public in a threatening way."
Evans was also charged for common assault whereby he assaulted a man in Andover on Monday, July 27, 2020.
Defending, Mr Potterson, said: "I would advise the common assault matter was adjourned in order that a psychiatric report can be completed."
Evans is due to appear again before Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Thursday, August 20, 2020, for common assault.
The two remaining offences, possession of a knife on two occasions and the criminal damage of a vauxhaull astra on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, will be heard in Winchester Crown Court on September 2.
