PLANS have been submitted to civic chiefs for the construction of four new homes in West End.

An application was submitted to the Eastleigh Borough Council on Tuesday July 14, which proposed four new three-bedroom, semi-detached homes should be built on West End Road in West End.

As part of the proposal, an existing dwelling located at 285 West End Road would be demolished to make room for the new homes.

There is currently six car parking spaces allocated at the site, and the application proposes that room for a further two spaces would be built, bringing the total up to eight at the site.

The applicant, Mr Kevin Parker, previously applied to build two four-bedroom homes and two three-bedroom homes on the site but the application on June 23 was declined over parking concerns.

Advice was given to the applicant to apply for four three-bedroom homes, which would resolve the parking concerns.

A decision is yet to be made on whether these plans will be accepted by civic chiefs.

The consultation period is scheduled to end on Wednesday August 19, which is when a decision will be made.
