THE number of coronavirus deaths in Hampshire remains at 605, following one death on July 6.

The most recent death relating to coronavirus was at University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust (UHS) on July 6.

There have been no coronavirus-related deaths in almost two weeks.

At UHS, a total of 196 people with coronavirus have died, while at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Trust, the death toll is 161.

While 229 people have died at Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust.

At Solent NHS Trust, the death toll remains at two, and at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, 17 have died.

NHS England officials said today that a further 13 people who tested positive for Covid-19 have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 29,173.

Patients were aged between 49 and 96 years old and all had known, underlying health conditions.
