WINCHESTER man Benjamin James Thompson stalked a woman over two months, a court was told.
Thompson, 33, of Taplings Close, Weeke, admitted the offence committed between December 21 last year and February 23.
The offending had a big impact on the woman with Thompson sending numerous unwanted text messages and a bouquet of roses to her workplace on Valentine's Day, February 14.
He admitted the offence when he appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court.
The Bench imposed a community order with the requirement to attend a 32-day Building Better Relationships course, a rehabilitation activity requirement for up to 20 days and an order to do 50 hours unpaid work.
A restraining order was also imposed banning him from any contact with the victim, to expire on July 2 2022.
He was also ordered to pay a £122 victim surcharge and £40 costs.
