WINCHESTER Theatre Royal has reopened its Cafe Bar to help reach its fundraising targets.
As previously reported, charity Play to the Crowd which runs the theatre needs £225,000 to survive the coronavirus crisis.
Within a week of launching the appeal more than £70,000 has been raised – but the deadline in September is looming.
The Cafe Bar will initially be open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 3pm serving coffee, toasties and a range of pastries and cakes to either eat in or takeaway.
It has also been extended outside on to Tower Street, with their Hat Fair inspired garden, allowing customers to sit outside.
All profits from the Cafe Bar will go towards Play to the Crowd’s Survival Fundraising Appeal.
