A MAN has been arrested after a cannabis farm was discovered in an industrial unit in Woolston.
Police raided the premises on Bridge Lane at around 11.30am on Sunday, July 5.
Officers seized a ‘large number of cannabis plants’ as well as equipment used to cultivate the class B drugs.
A 63-year-old man from Salford was arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis in Irlam yesterday morning, Wednesday, in connection with the grow.
He has since been arrested under investigation pending further enquiries by Cheshire Police.
A force spokesman said: “At around 11.30am on Sunday, July 5, police received a report of a cannabis farm having been found at an industrial unit on Bridge Lane.
“Officers attended and seized a large number of cannabis plants, as well as equipment used to cultivate them.
“A 63-year-old man from the Salford area has been arrested in connection with the cannabis farm.
