A MAN attacked by a group of 10 people at Bournemouth's Pier Approach suffered injuries to his eye sockets, head and feet.

Police have appealed for information following the assault which took place at around 1amon Thursday June 25.

The victim, a local man aged in his 30s, was found injured by a member of the public.

He was taken to hospital for treatment to fractures to his heal, ankle and eye sockets, as well as bruising and cuts to his head.

Police Constable Adam Steeves, of Bournemouth police, said: “We have now been able to obtain a fuller account from the victim and he states that he was assaulted by a group of around 10 people in the area of the zig zag path leading down from the rear of the Bournemouth International Centre to the seafront.

“He was punched and kicked before jumping over a safety barrier and sustaining further injuries as he fell down the bank.

“We are continuing to make enquiries into this assault and I would urge anyone with information that could assist our investigation to please come forward.”
