WINCHESTER has recorded no coronavirus-related deaths in all settings for the first time in 13 weeks.
The latest figures released by the Office for National Statistics on Tuesday, show that the death rate in Winchester has continued to fall across the district.
The figures relate to the week June 13 to June 19 which show that no new deaths were registered.
Currently, the death toll in Winchester stands at 107, 54 of those have occurred in care homes and 50 in hospitals.
A further two occurred in private homes and on week ending June 12 the first coronavirus-related death in an ‘other communal establishment’ was registered. It is not known what is classified as an ‘other communal establishment.
The figures relate to deaths in which Covid-19 was mentioned on death certificated.
It comes as Winchester has now registered 473 cases of coronavirus, a rate of 380.5 people per 100,000 people.
Elsewhere Basingstoke and Deane has 938 cases, the equivalent of 533.8 per 100,000, and Southampton, 915, 362 per 100,000; New Forest, 449, 249.8 per 100,000; Isle of Wight 421, 297.4 per 100,000; Eastleigh 429, 325.4 per 100,000; East Hampshire 487, 403.5 per 100,000; Fareham 289, 248.4 per 100,000; Portsmouth 492, 228.7 per 100,000 and Test Valley, 489 cases, 390.7 per 100,000.
