Hampshire Hospitals Foundation Trust runs Basingstoke, Andover and Winchester hospitals
SIR: Could I add my support to the building of a new hospital, badly overdue. But please, please can it be built on a brown field site not on valuable countryside farm land (Chronicle, June 4&11).
Three sites come to mind. Number one the derelict Bushfield Camp site; two, the soon to be vacated Saint John Moore Barracks and lastly the now abandoned army campsites at Barton Stacey.
