VISITING restrictions will remain in place at Winchester hospital despite the easing of coronavirus lockdown measures.
While shops and zoos were able to open on Monday, the ban on general visiting will continue at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital as it continues to battle Covid-19.
A hospital spokesperson said: “The safety of our patients, staff and visitors remain our top priority and we are continually reviewing the situation to assess what, if any, changes we can make to our visiting guidelines. Currently, all existing visiting restrictions remain in place.
“We understand how important it is that that our patients can stay connected with their loved ones and are continuing to support families to stay in touch using tablets and our ‘stay in touch’ services.”
