POLICE have reinstated a dispersal order near Winchester following "debate" from the public.
The order, which police did not renew when it first expired on June 3, is now in place once again at Compton Lock.
It will run from today until the end of tomorrow (June 14).
A spokesperson said: "You may remember the post a couple of weeks ago which created lots of debate.
"We just wanted to update you that a dispersal order has been put in place. This has been authorised by Inspector Wallis as we anticipated that we may have warmer weather this weekend.
"If you see officers in the area please say hello – we are always happy to have a chat."
As previously reported, two people were arrested at Compton Lock for antisocial behaviour on June 2.
