A MEON Valley vineyard has applied for a licence to sell alcohol.
Anthony and Jane Burton want to sell their wine from Swanmore Vineyard at Wyches Farm, Green Lane.
The pair have planted 5,200 vines with Chardonnay Pinot Noir and Bacchus Varietals and the first harvest is planned in this year.
If the application is approved, customers will not be allowed to consume the product on site.

The number of vineyards in Hampshire is steadily increasing. The chalky soil is identical to that in Champagne in France.
