A HAMMER-WIELDING teenage girl threatened and racially abused a woman in a Southampton park.
Police are trying to identify the girl following the incident, which happened in Aldermoor Park, Southampton, between 9.30pm and 10pm on Thursday, May 28.
A 36-year-old woman was walking her dogs in the park with her husband when they walked near a group of five teenage boys and a a girl riding around on a motorbike and a scooter.
The woman was concerned her dogs might be run over and approached the group to speak to them.
The teenage girl then pulled out a hammer and threatened the woman while racially abusing her.
Police say the teenager is described as being white, about 16 years old, of a slim build, with purple hair worn in a high bun, and wearing black jeans, a hoodie, and Converse trainers.
